I remember when I first attended a yoga class at Bela's home, I knew it will give me a better standing of how to balance my life...my mind, body and soul.
It was in 2005 when a good friend of mine encouraged me to go with her to a yoga class instead of spending our afternoon break sipping cocktails and chatting about how stressful our job was. I like to try new things and am always up for challenges so, I said yes - not knowing that we are going to a non-typical, commercial-like studio. The class was held at the yogi's home, spacious, nice and clean - very minimalist. First, we were handed a copy of the Chants in Sanskrit, then we learned the prayers, the importance of breathing (Pranayama), holding the poses with proper posture (Asana)...next thing I know Ashtanga became a part of me.
Just a week ago after receiving an email from YogaTree I thought of my yoga teachers who helped me discover the union of the body, mind and soul...Thank you for the great practice. Namaste!
