A Taste of New York 2013

October 01, 2013

In the city that never sleeps - two days were not enough to eat the Big Apple.

Fall 2013

Day 1

Crossing the Brooklyn bridge

Terroir Wine Bar, Park Slope
From the owners of Hearth Restaurant in Manhattan East Village, Marco Canora & Paul Grieco
Whether or not you are a wine lover, once you step inside Terroir you will know that you're on good soil.
Hearth & Terrior

Shake Shack's burger and frozen custard

Day 2

Java Girl, Upper East Side
Finding Java Girl was not an accident - a small cafe that serves gourmet coffee and sandwiches is always on my list. Luckily, my host lives in the neighborhood...

Central Park & St. Patrick's Cathedral - Food for the Heart & Soul

ABC Kitchen, by Michelin Star Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten offers an exceptional farm-to-table cuisine.

Eataly, Flatiron District
Lidia's Italy is one of my favorite cooking shows especially when I was in school learning Italian cuisine, going to Lidia Bastianich's book signing was not part of the plan but yet, it was my lucky day - I was in the right place at the right time

The Food Truck scene in Madison Square and a visit to Momofuku

The famous New York Library, Magnolia Bakery and Serendipity

And the best part of the trip was dining with friends
