Staycation is not only trending, but it is also the most economical way to spend your vacation without the hassle of crossing the boarder.

What can you do in three days with a limited budget?

Just like visiting other countries or cities, I'd like to make a list of places that I would like to check out. Since, food and wine are top of my list - I pick at least three restaurants, two cafés, a cocktail bar and a wine bar. I try not to overload my day with specific itinerary, it's always nice to leave room for unexpected adventures.

With the growing food scene in Toronto, there's always something new to try.

What was on my list?

√ Pick up a book

√ Oyster Hunt

√ Slow down and relax - this includes more me time and less digital media

√ Visit a new coffee shop

√ Massage

√ Brunch to end the weekend

Supporting local businesses is my excuse to shop without feeling the guilt - and books are one the things that I couldn't resist. White Chrysanthemum, was recommended by the staff at Type, an independent Toronto bookstore. Prefect for a three day staycation, even though it is fiction the setting are very much aligned with history in World War II.

Type is an independent Toronto bookstore with three locations (Queen West, Junction & Forest Hill)

While my cravings for oysters usually takes me to some of the hidden gems in the local neighbourhood, I recently discovered Stamp's Lane, in Roncy  - an East Coast inspired  upscale eatery. They opened their doors in August of 2018,  Stamp's Lane is named for a St. John's street that goes all the way through Stamp Farm owned by Chef/Owner Smeaton's great grandfather.

Each plate represents a combination of local ingredients and creativity to elevate simple food to a dining experience.

 DAY 3

In every vacation, there's always that one or two or three dinners that you will splurge. My weakness is Brunch, with beautiful space, good ambience and most of all excellent service - Cafe Boulud, Four Seasons.

Followed by a traditional Chinese lymphatic massage at New Feet Spa.

Total Spent for three days $299CAD
